Group B Strep Support (GBSS) Awareness Month (iulie 2023)

Event date: 12 Jul 23

Group B Streptococcus remains the most common confirmed neonatal bacterial infection in the United States and Europe, being a significant source of neonatal morbidity globally. Intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis has reduced the incidence of early-onset neonatal disease, thereby improving neonatal prognosis. We aim to raise awareness among patients about the importance of pregnancy monitoring by organizing a webinar where we will present the schedule of medical visits and the necessary tests during pregnancy, with a focus on screening and treatment for Group B Streptococcus infection. All details will be provided on the srmp.ro website.
